            The Kazi & Zaman College was established in a rural area in 1990 with a hope to cater the needs of higher education to the SC, ST and Minority Students has been trying to fullfill its ambition with their blood and flesh. The NEHU has given its first Affiliation in 1992 for P.U. Arts Level and in 1994 Degree Level. After getting our excellent performance, NEHU was highly impressed to declare its permanent Affiliation on 1 June 2005.

            The Kazi & Zaman College is located in a rural, backward area of the district West Garo Hills, Meghalaya, Catering to the educational needs of the poor and needy students for their higher studies, The Kazi & Zaman College is the only one Minority Higher Educational Institute under Selsella Community & Rural Development Block, Govt of Meghalaya. The Kazi & Zaman College has already recognised under section 2(f) and 12(B) of U.G.C., New Delhi in the Year of 2006.

             The main objectives of the Kazi & Zaman College shall be to disseminate and advance the knowledge by providing all kinds instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay the special attention to the improvement of the social and the economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill as well as plain Rural areas of the North-Eastern region, and, in particular, their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement. Its exotic location in the nearest access of Zingiram River, in the town Phulbari, gives rise to an ingredient of every advantage of an easily reachable place. Now it stands as a witness of its glorious past, a votary of vibrant present and an aspirant of a rosy future.
